Feral Makers is the shared dream and collaborative studio of Zanna and Gwenllian. We are two makers bound by a love for folklore, quality craftsmanship and the belief that art should be an accessible, joyful part of everyday life.

Our studio is a collaboration with no labels. We chose the name “feral makers” as we believe that our work has no boundaries. We wanted to keep ourselves open to a wide range of media, styles and ideas without limiting ourselves to provide the freedom to create whatever we desire.

Zanna Freeman is a potter and artist based in West Wales. Working primarily with stoneware clay, her practice is inspired by the natural world. She takes elements of nature and reinterprets them through bold, stylised illustrations, created using underglazes. Not only is she a potter, she also aspires to create with a wide range of media to create bright and beautiful pieces. Having recently graduated from a Ceramics degree in 2025, Zanna is at the beginning of her professional journey and is developing a distinctive illustrative style across her functional and decorative work.

Gwenllian Peckham is a multimedia artist from West Wales. Her work includes a wide range of materials from paint to wool to natural materials she finds. She specialises in upcycling materials and transforming them into pieces inspired by Cymru, its myths and magic along with its nature and landscapes. Culture and Heritage are very important to Gwenllian and it shines through in her work. Art has always been a passion of hers especially after completing a Foundation Degree in Art and Design back in 2020. She strives to include beauty and functionality into the majority of her pieces and is ready to share her work with the world and put a spotlight on her home, Cymru.

What began as a passion project between two friends has a grander vision. We are committed to fostering a vibrant, creative community. In the future we hope to expand our collection to showcase, represent and sell the beautiful and high quality work of other talented, local artists and makers.
